The Cirrus SR20 is an excellent training platform that is similarly equipped with the faster SR22 and even the Cirrus VisionJet. As the Cirrus SR20 has similar flight properties but at a slower place it makes a great training platform to get your ratings in. Once you have your ratings we can help you to transition to the faster Cirrus models.

Cirrus aircraft come equipped with modern avionics and navigation systems and during our training we will ensure you become very proficient with all systems. While they first may seem overwhelming the systems are intuitive and easy to learn. They provide you with a lot of safety features such as traffic information, up to date weather and current charts. 

Tour and Train

If you also want to see some of the most beautiful scenery of the United States we can also plan a tour while training with you. Always wanted to fly over the Gran Canyon? Land in Sedona? Have lunch on Catalina island? Visit family or friends in other locations? Training doesn't have to be boring, we can enjoy flying around the USA while you get trained to get your rating.

Safety first

First and foremost we want you to be a safe pilot. Our training has a big focus on flight safety. We train you to handle all different situations that could occurr in flight and continuously practice emergency scenarios. 

With scenario based training we ensure that you are prepared to handle events that could occur in real life. 

In the highly unlikely event of engine failure the Cirrus is equipped with a full airframe parachute. With just a single pull it deploys and safely lands you on the ground. 

Pricing 

Our daily rate for instruction is $800. A typical day consists of 4 hours of flying and 4 hours of ground school. I may seem like a lot of time spent on ground school but there is a reasons why our historic passrate on oral exams is 100%.

We can also provide a Cirrus plane for the training. The rate for the airplane is $350 per hour which includes fuel. The rate for the plane is only charged while the engine is running. The airplane we provide is fully equipped with the most recent Garmin avionics, full airframe parachute and ofcourse: air conditioning.

Typical program contents

Every student is different and we try to match the training pace to your personal situation and background. A typical curriculum looks like this:

1. Get your written done, you can do this at your own pace with online providers such as Sporty's or Gold Seal or we can do it together with you

2. 12 days of training. Most of our students need about 8-14 days of training to be ready for their checkride

3. 2 days of solo

4. Checkride. A typical private pilot checkride is 4 hours with 2 hours of oral and 2 hours of flying. Once you pass you immediately get your pilot license and can start flying!
